Farm and Ranch Day Camps
Marion County Farm Bureau Association along with local Recreation Commissions and Marion County Extension announce the 2nd annual Farm and Ranch Day Camps for Marion County youth.

Last year the camps were enjoyed by both the children and the farmers/ranchers/business people who helped make the day a success!  Each Day Camp is uniquely designed with focus on agriculture business (implement dealer, CO-OP, etc.).  Our goal is to educate about our county's agriculture assets and how they operate.

These camps are for children grade 2 though High School.  Younger children need to be accompanied by a parent (not babysitter).  Teachers are encouraged to attend also.

Our attempt is to make this Day Camp FREE for all attendees.  This year's events are as follows:

MARION - July 7, 2009 1:00pm-4:00pm.  RSVP by July 6 to 620-382-3425.  Meet at the Marion City Building basement

PEABODY - July 9, 2009 1:00pm-4:00pm.  RSVP by July 8 to 620-344-8380.  Meet at the Peabody-Burns Jr. Sr. High School

HILLSBORO - July 14, 2009 1:00pm-4:00pm.  RSVP by July 13 to 620-947-3490.  Meet at the Hillsboro City Building.

Delegates to Attend the 90th KFB Annual Meeting
More than 1,000 Farm Bureau members representing each of the state's 105 counties had the opportunity to learn how they can strengthen their farm, farm organization, rural community and way of life, as they attended the KFB annual meeting, November 7-8 in Manhattan.  The heart of the KFB annual meeting is the delegates resolution process.  The resolutions up for discussion are the result of a yearlong grassroots effort, involving input from county Farm Bureau members throughout Kansas.
